Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one of your recent edits to Paul Attanasio has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Hi Atelierpaulattanasio: I'm an administrator here on Wikipedia and noticed your edits to this article when fixing it up after some vandalism. I suspect from your name that you may have a connection with the subject of the article, so let me refer you to our policy page on conflict of interest editing. You will note that although Wikipedia does not forbid people from editing in areas where they have a financial or emotional interest, we discourage it because it is very hard to edit under such circumstances with the necessary neutrality and basing information solely on reliable sources.

Your edit removed valuable specifics (such as years) and all the wikilinks (from which a reader can find out about the TV shows and films mentioned) and all the references (which verify the accuracy of the information, enable the reader to find out more, and also are the main means by which our articles demonstrate the notability of their topics) and replaced the text with a less specific, more "ad-speak" version that in fact is less impressive than the specifics. Without references (except for IMDb, which doesn't garner much respect), the article was in fact open to nomination for deletion in the shape in which you left it. So I'm afraid your edits were not an improvement and did not reflect as well on Mr. Attanasio as what was previously there. I have incorporated a couple of details from your version in recreating the article, but I'd like to ask you, if you have a problem with anything that is there now, to say so at Talk:Paul Attanasio, the talk page for the article, rather than overwriting the article. If on the other hand you can add any new references, especially more recent ones relating to his recent activity, that would be marvelous. Yngvadottir (talk) 22:42, 4 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again; I have reverted your latest edit based on the reasons I gave above. I'm going to start a section on the article talk page. Please tell us there what you object to as inaccurate, but please realize that no one owns a Wikipedia article, not even the subject of the article; and that a referenced article with links (to the awards, for example) gives a better impression to the reader than a summary lacking either, no matter how laudatory. You may find our policies on biographies of living people useful. Yngvadottir (talk) 20:40, 6 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
